Event Producer, Royal Docks Team
The Royal Docks is undergoing a profound and exciting transformation. Once London’s gateway to the world, today the area is re-emerging as a major new residential, business and visitor destination. Centre stage in the area’s regeneration is a bold ambition to be London’s cultural engine, a world-class creative production centre that is internationally renowned for its distinctive and authentic cultural programme, making the Royal Docks an irresistible place to live, work and visit.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Producer to join our Culture and Activation Team. This role will support the implementation of Royal Docks Cultural Placemaking Strategy including the delivery of an ambitious arts and events programme and associated community engagement activities. Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, you will work on the development, production and delivery of a series of projects that capitalise on the area’s unique assets; boosting local cultural engagement, place awareness, and visitor footfall.
You will need proven track record of successful planning, delivery and evaluation of small and large scale cultural projects including outdoor events and community activities, of working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local authority officers, artists and creative organisations, and community groups. Experience of licencing, health and safety, event production and budget management are essential, whilst experience of youth and community participation projects and creative production are desirable.
Please ensure your supporting statement clearly addresses the person specification criteria (technical requirements and behavioural competencies).
This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
London's diversity is its biggest asset and we strive to ensure our workforce reflects London's diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority ethnic candidates and disabled candidates who are currently underrepresented in our workforce.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.
In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
