Hours: 27 hours 5 minutes worked over 5 days / 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade 3 Point 5-9 (£22,575 - £24,243 per annum) £14,559 - £15,634 pro rata
Contract: Fixed term until 31.8.2023

Hilldene is a large three form entry primary school with a 90 place nursery.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking Learning Support Assistant who will work to support children’s learning across the primary age range. The vacancy will be working in Early Years supporting a child awaiting an EHCP for communication and interaction. The pupil is non-verbal so experience of working with Makaton/PECS and non-verbal pupils would be beneficial. The pupil may require changing and need support with feeding. The role will include one to one support for a pupil with additional needs.
Our new Learning Support Assistant needs to be :
- able to work independently and use their own initiative to organise activities and tasks;
- able to manage groups or individuals from a class under the direction of the class teacher
- a good team player with a willingness to demonstrate and share information and expertise with other.
