Teaching Assistant
Nursery Teaching Assistant Grade 4 £19650 per annum FTE (pro rata) £10.19 per hour
Temporary (Maternity Cover)
33 hours per week
38 weeks of the year
Start Date: 1st November 2022
The Berkeley Academy are wishing to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in our busy Nursery. This is a temporary maternity cover post until the jobholder returns. You will be working as part of an experienced and dedicated team providing an exciting, stimulating and vibrant environment for the children in our care. The role will involve observing the children at play, planning activities that will encourage the children to challenge themselves based on their interests and assessing their development. Parental partnership is at the forefront of our practice and you will provide regular updates to families as well as recording snapshots of each child’s learning journey through Tapestry.
The ideal candidate will have a NVQ level 3 in childcare (or equivalent) and experience of working in a similar childcare setting.
A thorough understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality is essential. The post will be subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check and a satisfactory probationary period.
