SEND Resource Officer

Team: Special Education Needs & Disability Team, Children's Services
Job Family: Enabling - CBG7
Salary: £22,571 - £24,920 per annum pro rata
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (part time hours could be considered)
Location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis, and as needed to carry out your role
Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent
Closing Date: 11th October 2022
Interview Date: TBC, interviews will take place in person at Priory House, Shefford.

More about the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the SEND Business Support Team in Children's Services in the role of SEND Resource Officer.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in financial and business administration. You will be responsible for raising purchase orders, issuing invoices, making payments to schools and ensuring all financial activity is recorded in a timely manner to support accurate financial reporting.

Whilst the role has a predominant focus on financial administration, you will also be assisting with the co-ordination of regular panels, from preparing agendas to minute taking and co-ordinating follow up actions arising from the panel meetings. You will assist with data input and collection tasks and will provide project support where appropriate as well as undertaking other business support duties as required.

Experience in financial process is essential, and an AAT qualification is desirable. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with complex data and spreadsheets is key. You will need to work well both as part of a team and also under your own initiative with the ability to work calmly under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
