Street Cleansing Operative

The role
Reporting to the Street Cleansing Manager, this post holder will be assisting with keeping the borough of Gravesham rubbish and litter free. The post holder will be expected to collect rubbish/recycling, sweeping streets, emptying of litter/dog bins and the clearing of dumped rubbish
Main responsibilities
Undertake a range of specialist tasks including:
Emptying litter/dog bins
Removal of bulky items
Delivery/collection of clinical waste
Litter picking
Manually sweep spillage etc
Deliver/remove bins
Essential qualifications/experience-
Full Clean Driving Licence
To have a knowledge of the borough
To be able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to prioritise tasks
Good communication skills
Desirable qualifications/experience-
Up to date Driver CPC card
Previous experience in this field
Full clean driving licence with C1 category
Experience of manual outdoor work
