Blatchington Mill School require an Exams Officer to lead the Exams Team in the provision of an efficient and effective service at this large, popular secondary school.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join our school as we embark on a new school improvement plan and build on our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating from February 2022.  Ideally, you will have some experience in exams although training and support are available.  We seek an individual who is solution focussed and with an attention to detail.   You’ll be able to use your initiative and work well with a team.  You should have knowledge of our statutory responsibilities or else be able to indicate capacity to research and learn such regulated procedures.  You will have good communication skills and will be well organised with the ability to remain calm under pressure and when working to tight deadlines.  In return you will be supported with induction and training and will join a motivated and committed team within this friendly organisation.

The contracted hours are 37 per week with an expectation of flexibility so that you can plan to meet the fluctuating workload during the exam season, being balanced by fewer hours in quieter times.  In addition to term time working the exams officer will need to be in school during a week in August  around exam results day.
