Starting Salary: £19,650 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £22,129 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 30 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

We are recruiting for an Admin Support Officer within the Community Commissioning Adult Disabilities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for Hertfordshire County Council, and benefit from the training and career progression opportunities that come with working for a large organisation, it’s a great team and we would love to grow and develop with your support.  Many of our previous Admin Support Officers have progressed within a year or two.  This is a hybrid role with a mix of office and home working.

The role which sits within the monitoring team will involve working closely with a range of internal and external colleagues to improve the working of the team. With your colleagues you will support the team by improving and implementing the team’s business processes, this will include:

  • Managing and scheduling team commitments, appointments, shared inbox and minuting meetings.
  • Using Office software, managing databases, and using Social care information systems to support the team, advanced excel skills required.
  • Coordinating communication with internal and external colleagues. Coordinating responses and follow up as appropriate.
  • Compiling reports and data monthly and on request to inform business decisions.

Ideally you will have some knowledge of Social Care or working in complex organisations/businesses with multiple stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate; being a competent administrator with experience of using Microsoft Office.  You will be the first point of contact for Managers and possess excellent customer care skills. You will be able to liaise with providers to gather information as requested. 

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised individuals who display great attention to detail. The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to prioritise and maintain confidentiality ensuring that the high level of administrative support is provided to the team.
