More Information

Facilities Manager

Birmingham Children’s Trust is going from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a center of excellence in both social care and family support.

We are currently reimagining our city-wide commercial estate.  To support this, our property function is expanding to create more welcoming spaces for our children and families and to support our staff to deliver the best service for them.

We are therefore looking for a self-motivated Facilities Manager to manage a small number of sites within the estate. They will ensure the properties are compliant, maintenance works meet time, cost and quality standards, and our buildings deliver positive employee and customer experiences; supporting the needs of the city’s most vulnerable children and families. The role will include the development and management of a rolling 5-year maintenance plan, delivery of building improvement works and projects to enhance the building user experience.

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, who understands building health and safety regulations and the management of maintenance works in an operational public access site.  You will have experience managing third-party suppliers and engaging building users to ensure works carried out on live sites are delivered safely and to a high standard, with minimal service disruption. Our priority is creating a safe space for our children and families so some works will need to be completed outside of usual working hours. You will be working with a wide variety of people so must have great people and communication skills. You will have experience dealing with a number of conflicting and changing priorities across the city and want to make a positive difference to vulnerable families in Birmingham.

In return, we offer up to 34 days annual leave, a final salary pension and a range of employee benefits which we will be developing further.

Interviews may be held remotely via Microsoft Teams and take place the week commencing 24th October.
