Arun Wellbeing has a vacancy for a FULL TIME Wellbeing ADVISER.

Contract type:         Permanent post.

Scale/Salary:           5 (£23,023 - £24,920 per annum)

Working from Littlehampton Civic Centre, home and community locations across the Arun District.

Arun Wellbeing has a vacancy for a Wellbeing Adviser, working within a proactive and friendly team at Arun District Council.  Our Wellbeing Advisers support a caseload of clients by offering motivational support around behaviour change and giving information around healthy lifestyles. The Wellbeing Advisers meet their clients on a one to one or group basis, deliver weight management classes and get out into the community to promote health and wellbeing through talks and promotional events. Our Advisers also deliver stop smoking cessations and NHS Health Checks.     

Arun Wellbeing has been commissioned by the West Sussex County Council Department of Public Health to develop a prevention and wellbeing programme for adults of all ages.  We have a particular focus on supporting behaviour change in people with increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, stroke, type two Diabetes and some preventable cancers through providing information, signposting and motivational support.  The Wellbeing Team support people who live and work across the whole of the Arun District, and therefore work from different locations around the area. Due to this, applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a car.
