Arun Wellbeing has a vacancy for a FULL TIME Wellbeing ASSISTANT.

Scale/Salary: 5 (£23,023 - £24,920 per annum)

Based at Arun Civic Centre, Littlehampton. 

Would you like to promote a service which helps people to improve their lifestyles by eating more healthily, getting more active and achieving a healthy weight? Do you have a good knowledge of website maintenance and social media promotion?  Are you well organised and good at administration? Would you like to receive regular training opportunities to develop your existing skills?

Arun Wellbeing has an opportunity to provide a Wellbeing Assistant, working within a proactive and friendly team at Arun District Council.  Our Wellbeing Assistant has the responsibility for delivery of the Arun Wellbeing Communications Plan ensuring it is implemented in a timely and proactive way, by planning and maintaining a rolling editorial calendar for social media, email, and web content.  They will be responsible for creating and maintaining pages on the Arun Wellbeing website.  All aspects of social media, including the day-to-day running of the Wellbeing social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) and creating engaging social content, including production of original social media graphics, video, and multimedia assets, including at live interactions. Supporting the wider Wellbeing Team’s delivery of the Wellbeing Programme by development of information leaflets and editing of an online newsletter. Being the first point of contact for enquiries from the public and health professionals and providing administrative support for the team including data entry.

Arun Wellbeing has been commissioned by Public Health West Sussex, to deliver a prevention and wellbeing programme for adults of all ages.  We have a particular focus on supporting behaviour change in people with increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes type 2 and some cancers through providing information, signposting, and motivational support.  The Wellbeing Team support people who live and work across the whole of the Arun District, and therefore work from different locations around the area.
