Technical Officer (Environmental Health)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Environmental Health Technical Officer to join our Commercial Team.  This is a full time permanent position. 

As a member of the Commercial Team you will cover a wide range of services, with the implementation and delivery of both reactive and planned work. Relating to food hygiene inspections, complaints and environmental protection functions, including investigation of nuisance complaints arising from commercial and industrial premises. Taking appropriate opportunities for education, support and enforcement action to drive up compliance levels within the Borough.  You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other work areas covered by the team.

This is an excellent career opportunity to develop professionally and gain experience in a wide range of duties and training will be provided where necessary.

You must hold an HND or HNC in Environmental Health Studies or relevant Science Based Qualification, ideally a certificate in food premises inspection, or have relevant experience in Environmental Health.
