Our CCTV Team are a key element to protecting the district by implementing the Council’s Community Safety Strategy.
As Senior CCTV Operator, you’ll be responsible for the daily staffing and operation of the Control Room and all equipment (such as cameras and radios) so you’ll know the importance of accuracy and clear communication in this.
You’ll undertake monitoring and proactive patrol via our CCTV system and your calm approach will enable you to deal with any Out of Hours calls.
As mentor to the team, you’ll use your extensive CCTV legislative and Data protection knowledge to ensure that staff skills are up to date and that the Control Room meets compliancy standards.
You’ll work on a rotating 74hrs a fortnight shift pattern including nights, weekends and Bank holidays (including Christmas) which is 37hrs week and you’ll deal with any out of hour’s emergency calls, ensuring that they are dealt with effectively and where required you will implement the Council’s 24-hour emergency call out arrangements.
Please note that appointment is subject to completion of a DBS and police checks before commencement of employment.
