Salary:  £48,659 - £51,919 per annum pro rata 

Job Family:  CBG14 Managing 

Hours: 37 per week

Location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis, and as needed to carry out your role 

Contract:  Hybrid - Permanent

More about the role:

The Council’s Assets department delivers a range of services which encompasses managing the Council’s construction and infrastructure projects, managing the Council’s buildings (including maintenance and repairs), dealing with all leases, land ownership, acquisitions and disposal of surplus sites.

 

You will act as the single point of contact for the Assets Department regarding the Council’s Schools for the Future programme, liaising with services and cascading information across Assets in a timely and effective manner.

Working closely with the Assets Management Team and reporting to them on the SFF programme, identifying any issues, changes or key milestones and briefing them accordingly.

 

Working across all services in the department you will maintain, manage and report on the portfolio of SFF projects of all live and pending projects that the Assets is involved in delivering.  Using your experience, you will ensure that effective governance and high-quality project management documentation is in place for all projects within the programme to enable effective project delivery and reporting.

 

Part of your role will involve providing quality assurance on all reports produced by Assets prior to their issue to the programme team. You will coordinate workstreams from across Assets for the Schools for the Future programme, escalating any blockers or issues to Assets Senior Management if required.

 

To join us you will have experience in a similar role or an equivalent qualification, ideally from a construction, estates or asset management background. You are organised, well versed in programme management methodology, and an effective coordinator to support you facilitating joined up delivery of a complex programme.  You are able to critically review project documentation and enjoy completing tasks in a complex environment to tight timescales. With this expertise, you will have the confidence to contribute and your strong communication skills will be essential along with an organised, team-focused approach.  The role holder will work across the Assets Service and Central Bedfordshire Council, interacting with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to deliver effective combined solutions.
