Team: Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy 

Job Family: CBG11 Advising 

Salary: £34,629 - £37,782 per annum
Hours:37 hours per week 

Base Location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Kingsland Office, Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis, Dunstable LU5 5PY, . You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis, and as needed to carry out your role

Contract Type: Hybrid - Permanent

More about the role:

The Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy seeks to develop and deliver services that support adults, young people and businesses improve their skills levels, get people into work or further training and support economic growth.   

 

In partnership with Bedford Borough Council, we are excited to be part of the Government’s Multiply initiative to support the improvement of adult numeracy skills.   To support this, we are looking to recruit a Curriculum Lead.   

 

This role involves leading on the delivery of courses, developing and managing innovative numeracy programmes and  ensuring clear progression opportunities for learners.  Other aspects of the role will include line management of tutors and learning support assistants, as well as monitoring the quality of the programmes being delivered ensuring they are compliant with Ofsted requirements and contributing to the service’s self-assessment process. 

 

Qualification requirements: PTTLS, DTTLS, PGCE or Cert Ed and a maths subject specialism. 

 

For this role, you should be fluent in English language and able to communicate effectively, be proactive in working with and supporting colleagues, be prepared to build and help develop learning provision, be confident in embracing innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches and be able to support the delivery of high-quality learning which meets the diverse needs of our learners. In return you will be well supported and valued within our community-based adult learning provision and provided with scope to build and develop your teaching and assessment practice.
