School Crossing Operative

Halton Borough Council are looking for School Crossing Patrols to join the road safety team. We are looking for friendly, approachable patrols to assist children and adults crossing the road safely on their journey to and from school each day.  This crossing is busy with both vehicle traffic and pedestrians and serves as a main route into the town centre.

We currently have 2 vacancies: 

7.25 hours based at Beechwood Avenuse/Sedburgh Drive (Runcorn) Monday to Friday - 08:30 -09:05   15:05-15:45

7.67 hours based at Peelhouse Lane (Widnes) Monday to Friday 08:20 - 09:05 15:00 - 15:45

The Prospective candidates must be assertive, be able to communicate to the children and parents in a straightforward and friendly manner.  No experience is required as full training and uniform will be provided.

It is term time working in conjunction with the relevant schools and holidays cannot be taken during term time. Please note, although this is a term time only post working 38 weeks per year, you will be paid for 48.1 weeks per year. This includes annual leave and an additional payment in respect of when school is closed.
