Our Property, Estates and Facilities team are looking for a Senior Surveyor to join them in managing and maintaining the Councils operational and investments land and property portfolio. Senior Surveyors at Arun provide expert professional advice over a broad range of areas including planned maintenance, construction procurement, contract management and statutory compliance of assets as well as lease negotiation, rent reviews, disposals and acquisition and general property management, landlord / tenant matters.
Our ideal Senior Surveyor has demonstrable experience of working within a multi-disciplined practice, which may be in the public sector, but this is not essential. Organisation and communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to adapt and be flexible in your approach whilst influencing and negotiating.
The post is based at the Civic Centre, Littlehampton, close to one of our award winning beaches (perfect for a lunchtime stroll), and will involve site visits throughout the district to Council estate and premises. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the majority of employees currently work from home, including the Property Estates and Facilities team. In the future we envisage that homeworking, for at least part of the week, will continue to be an option for those who enjoy it, although this may be subject to change and the base for these roles will still be the Civic Centre, Littlehampton.
