Communications Officer (Marketing)

Starting salary £30,105pa with potential progression to £33,043pa on achieving designated skills and experience

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

Innovative, ambitious, creative, analytical, tenacious – if you are all these things, with a successful background in consumer marketing, we would really like to hear from you.

You would be the marketing specialist in a team delivering comms and marketing to all council services, with a focus on our cultural, entertainment and community facilities.  We want someone with the passion to take on the challenge of:

  • Driving increased sales in a competitive market at Campus West, our three-screen cinema, soft play and purpose-built roller rink, through customer retention, acquisition, and audience development.

  • Expanding our digital reach and conversion through SEO, email marketing, PPC, online advertising, online partnerships, influencer marketing and social media.

  • Developing and delivering a marketing strategy for a new virtual business unit bringing together Campus West, our museums, and The Hive – a large community centre in Hatfield.

Marketing will be your primary focus, but we are also looking for someone with the skills, experience, and ability to add resilience to the wider communications and marketing team when needed.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
