Business Support Officer

Job Title: Business Support Officer
Location: Farnham House Stevenage (with occasional travel to other locations across the county and remote working from home)
Starting Salary: £30,151 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £32,909
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term - June 2024

The Strategic Partnerships Teams is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Support Officer within the Adult Care Directorate to work with the Development Manager and Commissioning & Monitoring Officers focussing on the monitoring and recommissioning of housing related support for people with multiple disadvantages and homelessness.

Working closely with the team this role will help support the delivery of the teams’ programme of work with a focus on improving processes, systems and services designed to support homeless adults with complex needs.

The Business Support Officer will support the team through a range of functions including

  • Managing central monitoring records
  • Data collection & analysis of current contracts
  • Contracting, invoicing & payments
  • Supporting the team to deliver on procurement/tender processes.
  • Developing presentations,
  • Setting up and minuting of meetings and supporting the wider team.

This is a varied role for someone who is passionate about improving processes, contributing to systems change, and who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our team work with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies across all 10 Borough/District areas across the County. This provides exposure to a number of organisational agendas, with a focus on delivering the Supporting Adults with Complex Needs Strategy. Complex Needs Strategy

We’ll need you to have proven experience in business support/project support administration. With highly developed interpersonal skills you will be confident in working with a range of different organisations and partners.

Knowledge and experience of complex needs and homeless sector are desirable. You will be competent in Microsoft packages.
