Full-time, Permanent post
Brighter Futures for Children (BFfC) is an independent, not-for-profit-company, wholly owned by Reading Borough Council. Our responsibility is to deliver quality Children’s Social Care services, Early Help, Education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services to children and families in Reading.
The role:
This role is an exciting and key operational and strategic management post which will be responsible for the safe delivery of high-quality children’s services for children and young people with disabilities. This post holds responsibility for a team of social workers, an occupational health team, short breaks and two residential homes.
The children and young people with disability service have developed significantly over the last few years and is a defined and structured service that received positive feedback during a recent inspection.
We are proud of the service we deliver for children and young people with disabilities and is eager to get a Service Manager in post that will passionately and creatively drive the vision forward.
Qualifications required:
- Professional Social Work qualification
(CQSW, DipSW or other SWE recognised social work or social care qualification)
- Current Enhanced DBS check and SWE registration
- A minimum five years’ experience at Team Manager level in Children's Social Care
