Teaching Assistant and Positive Play Worker (PPW) at Warren Wood Primary Academy

NJC Grade D2 points 4-11 £15,509 – £17,451 per annum including PPW
(£21,189 - £24,054 FTE)
Hours: 32.5 hours, term time only
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated teaching assistant and positive play worker to join our established team providing support at Warren Wood Primary Academy. Warren Wood Primary Academy is designated by the Local Authority as a co-located specialist provision for speech and language needs. The Evergreen Centre is included within the main Warren Wood School building and has the same Headteacher and Governing Body as the main school.
The successful applicant must be able to build relationships, have a positive outlook and the ability to try different approaches when needed. You should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and show initiative when working with different adults and children. You will follow a programme of support clearly defined by the SENCO and work alongside teaching and other appropriate staff dependent on the nature of the particular needs of the pupils.

Where possible, this check will be conducted by someone not involved with the interview process. Any pertinent information found will be passed to the interview panel and may be discussed with the candidate at interview stage.
The information generated from online searches, notes of the shortlisting panel and details of the scoring will be retained for six months from the appointment date in line with the Trust’s document retention schedule. Documents will be securely disposed of.
