PMO Officer

About Waltham Forest

Driven by our sense of the place and community, Waltham Forest continues to grow and prosper. Waltham Forest is London’s first Borough of Culture and 2019 and MJ Council of the Year. Our opportunities are real: a new university campus, £300 million new shopping centre, 10,000 new homes over the next ten years, re-invigorating a much-loved 950-seat theatre.

Our Property team is at the helm of many exciting new developments, such as Fellowship Square, home of our newly refurbished Town Hall alongside revitalised public square and fountain and many more across our borough. Our Capital Strategy and Programme Management Office sits at the core of everything the service delivers.

The PMO Officer will work in collaboration with the wider team and particularly with the Property Systems and Quality Manager. Co-ordinate the multi-million fee payment cycle with senior commissioning managers, support the use and future development of the Concerto business information system, help implement ISO9001 standards and work closely with programme and project managers to develop and improve the programme and project management techniques, tools and methodologies used to deliver the Council’s capital and property portfolio.

The post is available on a one-year fixed term contract. We are looking for a dynamic, flexible candidate. You must be able to work independently and part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and a desire to continue developing yourself and the services we provide.

In return we offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work on one of the most exciting construction and property programmes across London.
