About the Role
The Council’s Programme Management Office (PMO) sits at the heart of the organisation and is key to delivering our ambitious Corporate Plan objectives. The PMO Coordinator will take a leading role in the PMO, which is responsible for fostering an effective and consistent approach to programme and project management across the Council. The PMO also ensures that high standards of governance are maintained throughout the project and programme life cycle. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to contribute to an ambitious agenda and to really make their mark.
About the Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take a leading position within the Council’s PMO. The successful candidate will be someone who:
- Is passionate about project and programme management
- Is able to pragmatically translate theory and best practice into appropriate and tailored action
- Has extensive previous PMO experience and has provided high levels of project and/or programme governance, all within a recognised methodology.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Works diligently and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Has strong and demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and support
