Business Support Officer

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to become part of the team responsible for providing Business Support activities within the City Council’s corporate buildings.

You will work with a variety of property related software, systems, databases and financial systems processing invoices, issuing receipts & reconciliations and making payments. You must therefore be computer literate.

You will undertake a range of general office administration tasks such as monitoring mailboxes, filing, copying, scanning, booking couriers and maintaining records requiring excellent organisational skills. 

The role will require you to interact with members of the public via telephone, face to face and e-mail, whilst providing reception duties so good interpersonal skills are essential. Experience of dealing with the public in a customer service environment would be beneficial.

The hours of work are 15.5 hours per week, working Wednesday to Friday. Specific details of the working hours are to be discussed at the interview.

This post is based at CityLab, however you may be required to work from other Council buildings.

You may be required to undertake Standby duties to cover out of hours work.
