Here at Welwyn Hatfield, we take a great deal of pride in the service we provide to both our internal and external customers.  We are looking for a proactive, forward thinking and enthusiastic Payroll & Processes Supervisor to join our Finance Team.  The team operates a hybrid working model combining time working from home with time in the office.

Managing a small team of officers, you will take the lead on delivering a broad range of financial activities. You will be working closely with the Council’s HR Team and play a key role in the ongoing modernisation of payroll processes and development of the Payroll/HR system.

You will be responsible for managing the running of payrolls for the Council ensuring accurate input to secure processing and meeting all statutory requirements for reporting.  You will be required to keep abreast of all laws, regulations and guidance relating to the processing of payrolls.
