Our ambition is an innovative business model that will make Transport Services has responsibility for the operational delivery of transport solutions for more than 20,000 passengers daily: from educational travel and social care passengers to those using the Council’s demand responsive CallConnect service. With an annual budget in excess of £50M, the service also manages the county’s local bus and community transport network, alongside Sustainable Travel development. This position is critical in delivering proactive and professional management of transport whilst demonstrating exceptional levels of customer care and relationship development, with both internal and external partners.
Your excellent interpersonal skills afford you the ability to communicate confidently at all levels across various sectors. You will demonstrate experience of facilitation and working with contractors and be proficient in negotiation with the ability to influence and challenge on behalf of Lincolnshire and our communities.
A self-starter with a "can do" solution focussed approach you will exhibit excellent commercial awareness ideally with a sound understanding of contract management, procurement processes and law.
You will be committed to improving the quality of the Transport Services Group now and in the future, managing budgets and forward planning in line with key drivers aligning strategically and operationally within the Council’s Policy Framework including the Corporate Plan, health & safety and safeguarding requirements.
On joining the team, you will be well supported, but you will be able to find your feet quickly. You will need to be agile in your approach to work and able to respond swiftly to the demands of the service.
