Working in the South of Birmingham means you will be based at Lifford House, which is a purpose-built office, that has been newly refurbished and it offers plenty of off road parking. You will be joining a team of dedicated social workers and managers who are very committed to their roles but who are also very warm and welcoming to newly appointed staff.

As a social worker for children in care you will have the opportunity to build strong and lasting relationships with children and young people so you can support our children to live in stable and loving homes where they can achieve and reach their aspirations and goals.
You will work within our relationship-based, strengths-orientated, family-led practice model. We will look to you to analyse the information presented to make informed decisions. You will complete all assessments in line with statutory requirements, as well as implementing, monitoring and reviewing children’s wellbeing within multi-agency meetings.
Our services will always be joined-up and you will develop robust partnerships with other teams and outside agencies; to include the police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.
You will need an approved social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. On a personal level, you will bring great communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and calmness under pressure.
