Arrears Prevention & Recovery Officer

Grade 6-£32112-£35496pa

We are looking for a dynamic and performance-driven Arrears Prevention and Recovery Officer to join our Income Services team.

You will have worked in a similar role in another local authority and housing association and have a proven track record of success.

This is a post arising out of a recent reorganisation of Income Services. This is an opportunity to display creativity and be part of a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

With knowledge of income recovery processes and relevant housing legislation, you will have experience of working in a complex political and service environment, and engaging with colleagues. This role requires a highly organised individual who can manage their workload while working in an agile environment.

About you

You must be able to evidence the following in your application:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience of working in an Income team or equivalent transferrable skills
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of the housing sector
  • A high performer, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of welfare benefit processes.
  • A degree or housing qualification, such as CIH, is preferable.
