About the role:
This role sits as part of a dedicated team within our wider top-class communications, marketing and engagement team to provide support for this range of priority programmes. We have two communications and engagement officer roles available and they will be a crucial part of this team
We are looking for dynamic and driven individuals to plan, deliver and evaluate effective and engaging communications, consultation and engagement activity for this range of priority council strategic programmes.
You will act as a key communications account holder for several major projects and programmes, taking responsibility for their public profile and for senior internal stakeholder relationships. You will provide the highest standards of professional communications, engagement and consultation advice and support to service leads and councillors.
You enjoy horizon scanning, made easy by your interest and knowledge of the media and social media, and can work at speed under pressure. You’ll be happy to contribute to out of hours responses where needed.
