One of our ‘big sells’ as a place to work, is the breadth and challenge of our roles – this is no exception.    You will be a member of our Corporate Leadership Team, the Council’s S151 Officer and lead strategic financial advisor responsible to the Chief Executive for all the sound financial management of the Council.  You will also bring leadership and drive to some of our core Resource services including our team of Finance specialists and our Revenues and Benefits team.

About you:

As our Section 151 officer you must be a qualified accountant with significant experience in public sector accounting. 

You need to be a motivated financial leader with the ability to act strategically at a consistently high level, providing advice to key decision makers to ensure compliance with all financial, statutory and constitutional requirements.

Able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, strong communication and presentation skills you will also have an outstanding track record in delivering a customer focused service.

Your capability with supporting and advising elected members will demonstrate your professional and personal strengths at this level.  

You will also be a great manager and inspirational leader.
