2 x SEN Teaching Assistant posts
We have two vacancies for this 5-16 Special School for up to 95 pupils; pupils have a statement of educational needs of SEMH (social, emotional & mental health). The most recent Ofsted Inspection in April 2018 concluded: 'Newfield is a good school' (copy of report on school website)
Experience of working within a special school is not essential, but applicants with an SEMH background would be considered to have an advantage. A sympathetic and tolerant attitude is required together with an ability to work within a structured environment in which every effort is made to promote an atmosphere of good order and consistency.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Due to the nature of work this post is exempt from provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced DIsclosure is obtained from the DIsclosure and Barring Service. We welcome all applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
Any queries in connection to the application process should be addressed to the School Office on 0151 934 2991.
Closing Date: 6th December 2022 at 12.00pm
Interview Date: 9th December 2022 - this date will be confirmed
