Data and information are at the heart of the planning system – and this role is an opportunity to be involved in delivering a digital planning system in one of the most exciting planning authorities in the country.

You will be part of a team that are championing and embedding digital approaches across the Corporation’s planning service as we develop a digital local plan; incorporate 3D digital modelling into our plan-making, decision-taking and engagement; deliver best-in-class monitoring of developments, with interactive map-based systems; and produce data-driven analysis, monitoring and reports that provide insight and evidence.

The successful applicant will have experience working with data and preparing reports, with confident IT skills including the ability to collate, process, analyse and visualise data using spreadsheets and other software. You will have demonstrable skills in GIS analysis and mapping, and you will have a good understanding of how data can be applied spatially and how it can inform long-term strategic planning.
