Highways Maintenance Officer

Grade 4 - £26913-£29214 pa

To undertake works in connection with highway maintenance, civil engineering and construction including footway repairs, carriageway repairs, highway drainage, gully and sewer cleansing, sign and post installation and the construction of vehicle crossovers

To undertake emergency repair work within the borough as and when required in and out of core hours and provide a supportive role in the event of a local or national emergency.

To operate the necessary plant and machinery in connection with the works being undertaken.

To undertake winter maintenance, including gritting, assisting with the delivery of salt, snow clearing or work related to this.
