It’s a really good time to join our growing team in the Assets Management Team to support our team of 6 Surveyors working alongside another Assets Portfolio Office.  We are on the brink of introducing a new asset management software system so a chance to get to know the assets and the software at the same time.

About the role

We want our people to be the best they can and to give them a platform from which they can deliver the highest quality services to our residents, external customers, external partners, and internal customers.  


We will support you in delivery of the best data and information for Estate Management related tasks to our team and the wider service areas.  You will be reporting directly to the Strategic Assets Portfolio Manager.


Key areas of responsibility include:


  • Support the Asset Management Team Surveyors in maintaining and providing relevant data and information for Estate Management related tasks. 
  • Support the development of a new asset management software database, to ensure the system is managed, maintained, and developed effectively and efficiently, taking advantage of the opportunities presented by digital transformation.
  • Provide general support, as required, to the Assets Management Team in respect of property records, financial, clerical and administration matters.
  • Support in the management of Acre Business Park and other identified projects as required.
  • Provide timely and relevant responses to Freedom of information requests.
  • Provide non-confidential Asset data as required to meet government directives relating to Local Authority Asset Data Transparency Directives.  
  • Ensure complete and accurate financial management on behalf of the service, including raising of invoices, rent reconciliations, debt management and supporting budget management and forecasting as well as leading year end close-down of accounts.

About you

We’re looking for someone who can combine data management expertise with business related support to a team of valuers and someone that enjoys a challenge, whilst never losing sight of the customer.


Specific requirements


  • You must have a suitable qualification in the relevant area, together with demonstrable experience within the property asset management profession. 
  • To be adequately skilled to provide the required senior level support to the service and respond to high level asset management cases. 
  • To be competent in mapping and data management systems with the ability to identify ongoing opportunities for improvements to keep up with evolving developments in related technology. 
  • To be creative and compliant when presenting data and information in formats most suitable or required for the recipients.
