Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment x 2 (6 months & 12 months)

The Post

You will manage a frontline service and a team of officers responsible for delivering high quality service to vulnerable single people faced with homelessness some of which may have complex needs.  Your team will manage a caseload and determine options and pathways suitable for applicants whilst managing service user expectation. 

You will lead and provide support and guidance to officers ensuring that duties under the Homelessness Legislation are fulfilled.

You will develop your team to work flexibly with applicants as we recognise that no two circumstances are the same and the resolution pathway will constantly be adapted to each case. 

The Person

You must be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Homelessness legislation and case law coupled with hands-on experience of preventing homelessness and making statutory decisions.

You will have thorough understanding of prevention options, extensive experience of preventing homelessness successfully with excellent negotiation skills. You will be experienced in people management and leading a team to successful outcomes.

A people focussed person, you will be passionate about customer service and take pride in delivering an excellent service. You will be highly motivated, ambitious, able to motivate your team and ready for a new challenge.
