Making A Difference as A Finance Business Partner

St Helens Borough Council is at an exciting stage of a significant transformation programme, with the modernisation of the finance function integral to these plans.
We have an opportunity for a talented, innovative and highly motivated individual to be part of our team and help deliver our future ambitions.

The role supports the Head of Financial Management and the senior finance leadership team, providing a high level of financial expertise and competence.

Applying your strong financial, budget management, interpersonal and communication skills, you will be responsible for leading a team that includes Finance Managers and Accountants and will work as a trusted partner to deliver effective performance and continuous service improvement – helping to shape the direction of the Council.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic and financial planning processes within the Corporate Finance team or the Financial Management teams providing finance business partnering within the service directorates.

A CCAB/CIMA qualification is essential in providing you with the necessary skills to fulfil the duties, which will be varied and afford you the opportunity to demonstrate the many strengths that will allow you to deliver high quality support and advice to a range of senior stakeholders.
