The council is looking to recruit an experienced professional manager to lead the Council’s Flooding and Drainage Team.
The Flood Risk Manager will be expected to have overall responsibility for the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance of the borough’s drainage network through the Council Highways term maintenance contractor, as well as providing expert advice on flooding and drainage to the Council’s Development Management Team.
You will be responsible for meeting all the Council’s statutory requirements related to flooding and drainage, as well developing and implementing the Council’s flooding and drainage strategies and major projects.
Qualified to degree level and ideally with at least 5 years’ experience of working in the management of flooding and drainage services, you will have budget management, project and performance management skills, and an ability to demonstrate effective PR and communication skills. Experience of working effectively with elected members and our residents is desirable.
