Are you commercially minded and experienced in digital engagement? Are you ready to work together with young people to support the development of an exciting, innovative traded service offer?
Within the Children, Families and Lifelong Learning directorate there are a number of teams delivering high quality training to staff and partners in order to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. We are really proud of our full training offer, which is organised by the Surrey Children’s Services Academy (SCSA). Several courses are delivered by our User Voice and Participation team, who run an extensive range of award-winning training that puts adults in the shoes of young people.
We now want to build on this success, developing a business plan which enables us to work with an increasing number of external organisations. We are ambitious in our desire to develop and grow this offer further, and this is where you come in…
As Commercial Development Officer, you will support the Commercial Development Manager in creating sustainable, externally facing training packages which seek to maximise income generation in order to improve outcomes for children and families.
You will bring both creativity and a commercial mindset as you work with colleagues and with young people to design our training offer, as well as developing and managing a digital engagement plan to market the offer and onboard new clients.
You will have strong communication skills enabling you to act as an effective point of contact for new clients, maintaining relationships and providing offers that meet their needs.
This unique role will also require a good level of self-sufficiency and organisational skills to prioritise and manage workload, set targets and report on progress.
Although this is a 12-month fixed term contract, there is a possibility that this may be extended depending on the viability of the business model and the specific roles required to support its successful rollout.
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence:

We look forward to hearing from you if you have the skills, passion and ambition that matches this role.
