If so, a role as Investigations Lead could be for you!
We are currently looking for motivated people to join our fantastic, forward-thinking team. We are pleased to offer an Investigations Lead role within the Counter Fraud Team.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
This post will play a crucial role in initiating, planning, and organising the housing investigations work, including undertaking full monthly case reviews with the investigation officers. As a result, you will ideally already have a relevant investigative professional qualification and experience of leading and managing housing and corporate fraud investigations. Particularly important is the requirement to be able to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
You will be able to work both on your own initiative as well as collaboratively. The ability to manage conflicting work priorities and manage investigations to the expected quality and timescales is crucial.
Who are Orbis Internal Audit?
Orbis Internal Audit is a unique concept, providing Internal Audit and Counter Fraud services across Brighton and Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council. We are unique in that the entire team delivers work not only to their own Council but also to other partners, clients and customers, maximising the impact, efficiency and effectiveness of our service and resources. This creates great opportunities for everyone within the service to learn and understand how different organisations work.
Our service is highly respected across our customers and clients, and our focus on agreeing robust actions with our clients further sets us aside from other internal audit providers. We have recently been assessed as achieving the highest level of conformance available against the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, and the service was deemed ‘Excellent’ in our reflection of the standards and our focus on performance, risk and adding value.

At the time of this advert, everyone within our service is working in a hybrid manner between our office base at Hove Town Hall and at home. Visits to client sites and other locations within the Orbis Partnership will be required at times. You will need to possess the flexibility and skills to support a hybrid induction to the team and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and clients remotely and in person.
What’s the remuneration?
The salary grade for the role is £43,516 - £46,549

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
