Arts Development Manager

Are you passionate about creating high quality art and making it accessible and relevant to everyone? Do you consider yourself to be an innovator? Then you may be our ideal candidate for our Arts Development Manager post.

This role would best suit someone with a wealth of experience within arts development and project management. Someone who is interested in creating forward-looking arts experiences, that are relevant and accessible to different audiences. The successful candidate will be adept at juggling multiple priorities, while finding new, innovative ways of working to achieve them.

What you will be doing:

  • Devising, managing and delivering Arts Council England-funded Kent Medway Museums Partnership (KMMP) National Portfolio Project (NPO) commissions, meeting aims and objectives of the project, but which is forward thinking, risk-taking and innovative.
  • Overseeing the temporary exhibitions programmes for The Amelia Scott, including the main exhibition space, and all secondary spaces both on and offsite.
  • Delivering Public Art Projects on behalf of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, while working with colleagues in the TWBC Planning Department, ensure good working relationships are maintained, and that Public Art Guidance is being applied correctly.
  • Managing a team of enthusiastic and experienced cultural professionals, working with talented artists and creating unique and high quality experiences that everybody can enjoy.

You will be required to work the occasional evening and weekend. You will also be a Duty Manager and a ‘key holder’.  At The Amelia we work 5 days in 7, as our services are open every day of the week.
