Resettlement Finance & Claims Officer

Wirral has an active and growing Resettlement Service that welcomes and supports refugees from around the world to integrate into life in the Borough. This post is required to provide accurate financial monitoring for multiple, government funded resettlement programmes and be the lead for the processing of such claims.
The role will be based in our Strategic Housing Service, which has recently acquired several new posts with us seeing a growth in programmes which need our support. The successful candidate will therefore have a strong network of support amongst these teams and contribute greatly to ensuring the programmes funds are effectively managed.
We are looking for someone with experience of financial and/or project management, with excellent numeracy skills. The post requires attention to detail and someone who exhibits a high level of accuracy in their work. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2024, with potential to extend further subject to funding.
The role offers hybrid working with a mixture of office and home working, part time working or a compressed working week can also be considered for this post.
