Outreach Housing Support Worker

What we’re looking for:   

  • A strong desire to work with vulnerable and complex young people to achieve the positive outcomes
  • Previous experience working with young people

  •  An understanding of safeguarding and knowledge of the benefit system

  • Experience or knowledge of the housing sector

A bit about the role:

As a Outreach Housing Support Worker you will be work with a team of motivated, compassionate and dedicated colleagues to help young people prepare to live independently.  The service is delivered in partnership with Herts Young Homeless, who are the contract holder. Some of the key results for the role include: 

  • Be totally committed to delivering excellent customer experience – embodying our values everyday in the way you deal with the customers and colleagues
  • Work closely with HYH in delivering the service.
  • Have the ability to work along and as part of a team
  • Have good communication and IT skills
  • Ensure young people receive the correct support by working and building effective relationships with wide range of external agencies
  • Ensure young people receive the correct support by working and building effective relationships with wide range of external agencies
  • Able to regularly climb stairs

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
