We want our staff to be the best they can and to give them a platform from which they can deliver the highest quality services to our residents. Reporting to the Transport Programme Manager, this new position is a project management role to manage and successfully deliver a number of major projects in a high-profile work programme. This will focus on the successful delivery of high value Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) projects by March 2025 with central government funding from DfT of circa £26m.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead in the project management of the BSIP programme.
  • Work closely with the relevant technical teams and bus operators to develop and deliver the project(s) to the agreed specifications, and that the project(s) interlink as seamlessly as possible with the existing network.
  • Maintain all the project documentation including risk logs, project plans and Gateway reports and highlight reports.
  • To produce reports and/or presentations related to these projects for a variety of audiences, including major external funders, government departments, elected members and the Enhanced Partnership Board.

The role will be working closely with our bus operator partners, officers, contractors and elected members to ensure that the highest standards are achieved within the constraints of time, quality and budget.
