Birmingham Children’s Trust continues to go from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a centre of excellence in both social work and family support.

We are actively looking for someone who has care experience and is a Birmingham Care Leaver.

We have an exciting Care Leaver Apprenticeship Programme and a real opportunity for someone to get into the world of Business support work. Working within our Birmingham Youth Offending service we are looking for the right person who wants to develop skills to provide efficient, effective and consistent Digital marketing and social media services that meet the needs of the business.

Birmingham Youth Offending Service has five multi-agency area-based case management teams across the city: a city-wide alternative to custody in its Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS) Team; a Court, Bail and Remand Team, a Female Gender Specific Team and a Harmful Sexual Behaviour Team. 

In addition to statutory partners, the Service benefits from specialist officers, including Restorative Practice Workers, supporting victims of crime; Parenting Workers, offering individual and group work support to parents and carers; specialist Autism Worker; Substance Misuse Case Workers; Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) and Training and Employment Mentors.  

In the role, we are looking for a dependable and passionate apprentice, to help develop and create content that can be used across a variety of media including digital, social media, broadcast or in print, targeted towards children and young people.


We are looking for someone who can bring creativity towards making content that could have a real impact around Birmingham reducing Serious Youth Violence, Disproportionality and Criminal Exploitation. Making content that will be designed to be viewed by professionals, children, young people, families/carers and local communities throughout the city.

Working Hours: 36.50 per week 

Fixed Term Contract – 18 months

The content that you create can be used as part of media, advertising and marketing campaigns. You will have to capture what is exciting about a campaign and design the elements that can be used across media platforms and channels, and most importantly, be able to engage our young people!


You will be collaborating with designers and developers, using authoring languages to create content for the World Wide Web, which may include video, images, text and web pages and social media content, so an enthusiasm for technology and creating great online experiences is a must!


In the role, you will need to undertake a Level 3 Junior Content Producer Apprenticeship and successfully complete level 2 qualifications in English and Maths if you don’t already have these.
