The HR Business Partner will Support the HR Manager (Children’s Social Care and Education) in the provision of an effective and professional HR Management Service by providing HR business support specifically to Children’s Social Care and Education, communicating with a wide range of people, including trade union personnel, Local Authority managers and Sefton personnel, including the school’s workforce.
The team is a well-connected, strong, highly competent, and solution focused, working in a fast-paced environment with a dedication to grow and evolve to ensure that the Service that is being provided to Sefton’s Children’s Services is always to the highest standard.
The HR professional that we are seeking will be qualified to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and hold relevant experience in a HR role including experience of trade union negotiations and industrial relations conflict resolution. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and listen effectively to make informed, reasonable decisions regarding staffing/employment matters.
A good understanding of employment legislation and its application in the workplace is essential along with an excellent knowledge and understanding of Pay and Conditions of Services for Local Government employees.
Excellent I.T. skills, (Microsoft applications) including integrated HR applications are a must have, along with the ability to manage and priorities workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
