Senior Social Worker/AMHP

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker Practitioner/AMHP within the Wokingham Community Mental Health Service. Preferrable with forensic social supervisor experience. You will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team who pride themselves in delivering excellent services to service users and their carers. The service is proud to be rated “Outstanding” by CQC.

The post holder will act as a Senior Social Work Practitioner/AMHP for the service and will support the team in fulfilling its service responsibilities. This will include liaison with the Adult Social Care team at Wokingham Borough Council and working with the Forensic Team in Oxfordshire.

The service comprises of a Long term recovery team and a duty function. The post holder will carry a varied caseload, acting as a care coordinator and also a BIA and AMHP if qualified to do so.  

We are looking for someone with a good level of clinical knowledge and skills to complement the team. Experience as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner and Forensic work would be desirable and an advantage. There will be opportunities for training and personal development available including access to AMHP and BIA training.
