ASC Web and Digital Manager

This role has a starting salary of £46,634 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

Adult Social Care are excited to be recruiting a new Web and Digital Manager to lead on the service's web and digital presence and offer for residents and professionals. They will also lead on channel and content development to promote self-service and greater engagement online.

Working in the Information and Engagement Team in Adult Social Care and closely with the council's Web and Digital Services team, this is a business-critical role which will be involved in our 'digital front door' programme and implementing improved online resources for residents and professionals.

The postholder will support the delivery of the Surrey, system wide Information and Advice Strategy about care and support, ensuring residents can access universal information and find local support.

Key priorities for the role are:

  • Managing and improving the county council's Adult Social Care web content with regular user testing with residents to improve navigation and overall customer experience;
  • Overseeing the ongoing development of Surrey Information Point directory of services including the re-procurement process of the directory;
  • Managing the social media activity for Adult Social Care;
  • Working in partnership with health, local councils, the voluntary, community and faith sectors and care providers to help residents and professionals access information about care and support.

The post holder will need excellent knowledge of, and proven experience in, website management and analytics and digital innovation, alongside a good understanding of the health and care sector.

They must have excellent IT skills and a sound level of technical knowledge with strong communication and influencing skills to articulate benefits of online resources and improved technologies to a wide range of stakeholders.

The role requires a collaborative style of working as engagement and building relationships with health, other external partners and teams across the council will be a substantial part of the job.

The post holder will have line management responsibility and be required to provide strong leadership and support to meet the team's priorities.
