ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to a Principal Building Control Surveyor, you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck into projects in either the Wokingham or West Berkshire area.
Crucial to your role will be to ensure that our service users maintain compliance with building control regulations. You’ll check building regulation applications, undertake site visits, and provide effective advice to the service’s users.

You must have significant experience working in building control. You’ll also possess excellent working knowledge of building regulations and legislation relevant to enforcement.
In addition, you’ll have great communication skills, as you’ll need to be able to negotiate with customers and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
This role will provide you with the perfect opportunity to develop your career through a diverse portfolio of major projects, such as large-scale housing developments, town centre redevelopment, and school development.
We will offer personal learning and development opportunities, and you’ll receive fantastic benefits such as flexible working, the local government pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and more!
