Hours: 1 x 37 hours per week post &  1 x 18.5 hours per week post availble 

Contract Type: Permanent - Hybrid 

Base location: Working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis, and as needed to carry out your role

About the role:

The North Locality Older Person’s Team is a highly professional Adult Social Care team assessing the social care needs of people aged 65+ who live in the areas of Mid Bedfordshire and Ivel Valley (Flitwick, Ampthill, Sandy, Biggleswade and the surrounding villages). We are currently looking to recruit an experienced social worker to join our busy and multi-skilled team. The Team forms part of the Community Assessment Service and practices at the cutting edge of Adult Social Care with a strong focus on improving customer outcomes in a person-centred way. 

 

You will work to build strong relationships with the local community other professionals and employers to make sure people have access to fulfilling lives and achieve their aspirations. Your role will include assessing, reviewing and support planning.  Tenacious, proactive and approachable, you’re adept at building professional relationships and have dealt with a range of partners including Health and Housing. You will have a good understanding of the Care Act 2014 and will have sound care management skills. A positive, determined and diplomatic professional, you’ll know how to build links that count. You’ll work with partners to make sure our customers receive, and know about, the best care and opportunities available.

 

You will have responsibility for the delivery of statutory duties commensurate with supporting people within Adult Social Care. You will discharge these duties in a manner that sees customers at the centre of their care and support, along with, demonstrating behaviours that result in the delivery of compassionate, caring, responsive, and proportionate care and support that is of high quality and evidence best value.

The successful candidates must have a recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
