What we are looking for…
Here in North Somerset, we have a vision to be open, fair and green and are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support projects that will help us achieve this vision. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that will significantly reshape the development and delivery of council-wide services. From our new ways of working programme to the ongoing development of our Programme Management Office, you’ll be involved in projects that will have a significant impact on how our organisation works and improve the lives of our residents and our businesses.
Ideally, you’ll have practical experience in various project management methodologies such as Prince 2, Hybrid and Agile, and of change management processes and approaches. You’ll be someone who is comfortable taking the initiative to deliver a wide-ranging, and often complex, workload to tight deadlines. Experience of programmes and projects delivering digital transformation would be an advantage.
We value relationship building skills so experience of working successfully with a range of stakeholders to support project management understanding, while identifying opportunities and converting them quickly into successful projects is desirable.
