Starting salary £45,865pa with potential progression to £49,021pa on achieving designated skills and experience

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

In this newly created role, you will lead on the technical and customer service aspects of the service, developing and maintaining a strong partnering relationship whilst supporting and driving organisational and cultural change to deliver the Council’s mission and values.

Our council owns and maintains 9,500 tenanted homes and has 1,000 leaseholds and a commercial portfolio. We are looking to appoint an experienced building safety professional where you will manage and lead a specialist team, delivering compliance and building safety services ensuring we meet our statutory and policy requirement.

You will have a good level of experience in building safety compliance, including the management of staff. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to work and the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post
